This marks four weeks of doing Weight Watchers. I don't want to toot my own horn, but hey, I'm going to. I'm down 9 pounds from when I started four weeks ago, and have lost an average of 2.3 pounds a week. Not bad. And I don't feel like I'm "dieting." No deprevation, or feelings of guilt when I eat a cookie. Love it. That's all. Just wanted to say things are looking up. Nothing like making progress, especially when it comes to losing weight. My swimsuit isn't looking as intimidating anymore, which is a good thing since summer is just around the corner and my kids practically live at the pool from the months of June-August. Summer, here I come!
Hmm, I've been considering starting WW for awhile now. Do you do the online version, or the regular brick and mortar one?
ReplyDeleteI'm just doing the online WW. Not enough time to go to meetings and such. A 3 month membership is around $60, I believe. Pretty decent price considering other options.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I should mention, although it may go without saying, that I eat the whole foods vegan way, within the parameters of WW, which gives me daily & weekly "points" to use for food...Not too complicated and I really like it. It works for me, since I can easily keep track of what I'm eating and not go crazy/obsessive about it.
Do what works for you, and good luck!

ReplyDeleteOne other thing, I checked out your blog profile and you're an AirForce wife! I will soon join the ranks, my husband just got into JAG-Air Force.
First off, welcome to the AF family! Do you know where your DH will be stationed at?
ReplyDeleteI just joined WW, and I think it's going to be great for helping me keep track of how I'm eating, not necessarily what I'm eating, cause I'm content with that side of my life. ;)
Leslie:
ReplyDeleteDon't know yet where we will be going...
My reasons for doing WW were exactly the same. It's kinda like having a coach, someone to be accountable to. Keeps me in line. Sometimes you just need to create a little extra accountability and awareness to make the changes you want.
Well, I wish you the very best for where ever you end up getting stationed...though is it selfish to wish that maybe you'd move out this way? We have an LDS church about a mile from out house. ;)
ReplyDeleteThe accountability is really the thing I need most right now. I tend to be a stress eater, and with the adoption and deployment coming up, I haven't exactly done a stellar job on portion control. WW is going to be great for that, because I know I'm eating the right things, just not the right amounts.
